Meet Our Staff

Alok Sharda, DDS , MS

Dr. Sharda received his Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology from Duke University. He then received a research position at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The year following his research experience at Harvard, Dr. Sharda completed a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences in North Chicago, Illinois. Upon completion of his Masters degree, Dr. Sharda completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill. Dr. Sharda then went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry through East Carolina University‘s community service learning centers in order to give back to those communities in need. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Sharda and his wife moved back to Durham.

Dr. Sharda offers comprehensive treatment planning covering all aspects restorative and cosmetic dentistry including cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions. Dr. Sharda has the expertise to offer many complex procedures in-house, including endodontic treatment (root canals) and surgical extractions, as well as dental implants. We offer cosmetic smile design with Invisalign clear braces, teeth whitening, and cosmetic fillings as well as partial and full dentures.

Visiting the dentist is not an easy experience for everyone, and at A. K. Sharda DMD PA, we are always sensitive to those concerns. Our team works diligently and with compassion to ensure that every patient feels comfortable, listened to, and part of our dental family.
